Here’s a quick re-cap of the last month since we headed off from Lemon Tree Passage and bounced up the coast a little…
⛵️
we caught up with all the @stayin_afloat crew and the kidlets helped Nana put the finishing touches on the bus’ new paint job, including their hand prints . Then Nana taught Susie to sew a little and they made her some clothes….

then we headed off up the coast for some of our own adventures while they waited for a weather window to sail up..

we got as far as Laureiton before a clogged fuel filter stopped us on top of the bridge out of town, blocking traffic – as ya do… thankfully the local constabulary directed traffic while I reversed in Angel gear back down the bridge before we lost air-pressure and the brakes locked on… and safely into a small reserve right next to the river for a few days while we got that sorted

then off to Delicate Campground near Crescent Head NSW for a bush/beach/camp in the packed campsite. While we were there we enjoyed a surf and some beach time, as well as installing our new washing machine. This one is fully automatic – our old one was a little top-loader that was all manual.

then into to the bush for few days to our next destination in the hills past Bellingen, stopped to unhook the car so I could reverse into a good spot the the starter motor died – so the Quin-Jet earned its keep by towing the bus as close to flatter ground as we could get, while we sourced a new starter motor. What an absolutely beautiful place to be stuck for a week

starter motor sorted then back to the beach at Arrawara where had a quick surf and beach hang then met up with @the_wholesome_wanderers and shared a camp-fire and chat with those legends

meanwhile Jo & Dean and the kids had sailed right by and up to the Gold Coast, so we hit the road again for a whirlwind tour up there to deliver the new swords Grandad had made to the Grand-pirates, where Nana helped paint them

then a tiny teary “seeya soon” cos we’re now heading south again back to SA to spend some time with some more offspring before heading west….
