Pallets, pallets, pallets…

We got a whole heap of repurposed pallet timber ready to go up this weekend….

Among the little list of finishing jobs is completing the ceiling. When we started the ceiling, we got enough done so we could get the beds and walls in and then put the ceiling aside cos its such a monotonous process denailing, trimming, thicknessing, profiling, painting and sanding the pallets to get enough finished product…. THEN installing them..

we have 5 sections left to go, and enough timber in the attached pic for about 2 sections, then it’s back to dismantling the last of the pallets to start the process again to finish the whole ceiling…. now THAT is gonna feel good…

Speaking of monotonous processes and putting jobs aside… since installing the first sliding window in Bianca’s bedroom, the process of cleaning up and painting the other 3 also hit the monotony pile…

but since we put the first window in, Michelle has crafted a little side-table shelf-thing to go beside the passenger-seat/lounge-chair to store stuff neatly..

And Chris crawled under the dash to move the wiring for the kitchen lights from the bus-battery (engine-start etc) to the house-battery (the one’s that our solar panels charge)… he had LOADS of fun with that one… 🤭

So for now it’s on to installing some ceiling and who knows what after that!?!?
